Possibly the best football team in the world..
But along with 60,000 at the Etihad Stadium I'm slowly falling into a deep slumber. Switched over to The Repair Shop for some excitement..

Wouldn’t mind if a few of our bore fests this season ended up as 4-1 wins.

Portsmouth v derby was more entertaining

Reminds me of “walking football” played by old people

We do like the Mcniff and Curran approach to football. Nothing like a grafter on the park .......

They must ‘walk’ it about pretty well and in the right areas, it very often ends up in the back of their opponent’s net. Wish we could ‘walk’ it that well.

Re: Possibly the best football team in the world..
I've seen this said about Man City before and the only way I'd maybe understand it is if comparing perhaps Liverpool's style and saying in comparison you find it boring. Even then it's a stretch for me to get my head around.
They basically play a different sport to what we voluntarily turn up and watch each week.
With Doku as a throwback winger they even have that small gripe I had covered.

Keep flicking between tonight's matches and missing the goals :hehe:

Re: Possibly the best football team in the world..
When you have absolutely shed loads of money to spend on highly paid players and a bloke who apparently the best manager available I don't understand why anyone is blowing smoke up their arses ?
It's really no surprise they are winning everything
United under ferguson with all the players he could buy was the same sort of thing
Untouchable ......there will never be a side like this again..... etc etc
Load of cobblers

Yes , that how football works.
Have you been living under a stone?
You dont have to agree with it to respect the skill of these people.

Do Man City spend the most? Chelsea have shelled out a few bob as have others, it doesn’t always fall into place. It’s not just spend the most, win the most, there’s Championship clubs who find that out season after season.

Yes, it's why, whenever I hear that a City manager will have money to spend so we'll have a better season next season, I tend to ignore it.

Re: Possibly the best football team in the world..
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68713522 - City and Liverpool pay the most wages (nearly 200 grand a week average for first team players at City is a mind blowing figure) although United and Chelsea have spent the most on transfers especially taking advantage of the "amortization" loophole/feature in FFP.
Looking at those charts you'd have to say that Arteta has done an unbelievable job at Arsenal having them challenging with City and Liverpool the last 2 seasons, and even more respect to Fulham and Brighton for consistent top half finishes.

I've got a Liverpool top and an Arsenal top but I've held off buying a Manchester City top until the end of the season. I don't want to look like a fickle fan when I strut around Cardiff and take selfies to post on here just to annoy. My promiscuity has no boundaries.

There will soon be no limit on their spending. PL clubs set to agree new 'rules'.....
