Picture quiz for veteran supporters.
How many members of Cardiff City's youth side of November 1965 do you recognise? I make it that six of them went on to play first team football for the club and, although he's not one of the first teamers, I think the player sat second from the right may be a familiar face to many of us.

As Monkfish said. Definitely Steve Derrett & Toshack. First two on the bottom, from the left, possibly Bernard Lewis & Graham Coldrick
Is David Summerhayes in there somewhere.
The one with the FA cup ears, is doing my head in

Coldrick definitely, sat down, second from left as you look at it.

Re: Picture quiz for veteran supporters.
Is it David Houston on Steve Derrett’s right?

A punt on the ‘keeper being the ‘unfortunate’ Lyn Davies?

Correct, well done. I think it was something like thirty two he let in over six matches.
Derrett and Toshack (second and third left in the back row) are both right.
All of the other names mentioned are wrong though.
The three you haven't got include a Welsh international (must admit I didn't recognise him mind), someone who featured in one of our biggest matches around that time, but didn't play too many times for the first team and the captain, with the ball at his feet, who only played the once, but he's got a famous football surname.
The guy with "the FA Cup ears" took part in a Wembley Cup Final if I'm right about him.

Yes, he's on the left of the front row.

Yes Steve Gammon had finished playing before I started watching in 61/2 I think.

Re: Picture quiz for veteran supporters.
A further clue about the player sat second from the right - I have to keep on qualifying what I say with "if I'm right", but, if I am, a certain Russian winger will not remember this bloke's Cup Final appearance with any affection.

Re: Picture quiz for veteran supporters.
Going by this thread there seemed to be a clearer path to the first team back then :sherlock:

Steve finished at City in 1965 and left to become player/manager of Kettering Town.
Broke his leg 3 times.

David Summerhayes’ brother, Robert (I think)?

Re: Picture quiz for veteran supporters.
Sitting, second from right is obviously Gareth Bale, his de Lorean is parked by The Bluebirds Club.
