When I was leaving the ground yesterday I remarked that maybe we should play all our games away from home…first test of that theory!
Hope the referee has a less “confusing” outing this time

Of course, Grant can’t play Tuesday agains his parent club.

Maybe a blessing in disguise as he's not exactly tearing up trees...

After a poor start I think Grant has been one of our better players this season. Not a high bar to clear, but still....
I don't like Tanner on the left. Without Grant it might be a nudge to Bulut to change the shape a bit and find a way to play Ramsey and Colwill together?

I would love to see a change of shape. Undoubtedly one of the reasons we find it so difficult to win at home is that opponents have found us out.
With Grant ineligible I would like a rethink by the manager, but given his conservatism when it comes to players and tactics, I doubt we will see much of a change.

I would prefer we put an extra man in midfield but I don't think the manager will change formation.

Goutas
Collins
Ralls
Wintle
Turnbull
Wilson Esbrand
Meite
Tanner

Re: WEST BROMWICH ALBION v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
It's going to be busy on the M5 and the trains. Both WBA and Birmingham at home. Can't see anything but a West Brom win. I'd settle for a point though.

A what? I remember "shot on target". Just. None of this "goal in open play" nonsense. No. Let's have slow, defensive throw ins. My favourite. Maybe a main course of "pass it back to the keeper". A side of "play it out from the back" with an amuse bouche of "two of our lads contesting the same ball and knocking each other out". I'm at the back of the stand and fully expect to have to dodge one of our shots. As should anyone by the corner flags. And passing seagulls.

Superb support for a Tuesday night given the dreadful performance on Saturday and our drab few months

Wintle must be a joke?
Diedhiou should be starting, as should Ramsey.

I wish Wintle wasn’t starting but I can’t see our very conservative making any radical changes.
Not sure that the other 2 are anywhere near match fit, but what do I know?

Have people given up on home games and now just choose to go away instead? Amazing for a cold wet horrible February eve…..

Could keep the 4231 shape and lose the wingers, play 3 attacking midfielders behind the striker.
Alnwick
Collins
Goutas
Phillips
Ng
Ralls
Siopis
Colwill
Ramsey
Turnbull
Diedhiou
Our wingers are hardly bursting up the line with blistering pace, leaving defenders for dead getting in dangerous crosses.
Might as well try something different, we attack at a snails pace so may as well use the more technical players instead of wingers.
