Euro 2016 Finals Tickets

Hi,

I know Wales haven't qualified, (and might not qualify!), but has anyone looked into the tickets for the Euro 2016 finals?

At the moment you can apply to purchase up to 4 tickets for specific matches, or for tickets at specific stadiums, and the deadline to do this is the 10th of July. It looks like if you are successful, the tickets are yours and there's no chance to return them either.

The other option is the 'Follow your Team' ticket, but these won't be available until after the draw in December.

Has anyone applied for tickets just to see a few random games, and (if we qualify) will you be applying again in December for Wales tickets?

Was going to but you have to pay there and then and I'm not forking out 200-300 euros to have an equal chance of seeing Czech Republic v Romania

I'm intending to go regardless. The 25 euro tickets (and even the 45 eur) for the groups/last 16 are decent value imo.

Just after a bit of clarity on this, can you apply for the tickets now and then even if successful/unsuccessful apply for the follow your team tickets too?

I'm about to apply for the random games anyway. Then I was planning to do follow your team later in December, and finally I'll use my membership & points to hopefully bag any I haven't got for Wales games through the FAW channel.

So what have people who have already applied for random tickets applied for? The finals tickets or random group stage tickets? I'm going to apply for follow your team tickets in December too but if I'm out there for 3 weeks wouldn't harm having a few more to go see as well!

I was thinking of applying for a couple of games in Nice/Marseille but also taking a shot at a few tickets for the semi's and final (sure I could sell these if needs be). If I apply for a fair few tickets do I only get charged if I get them, they don't for example freeze the amount on your credit card before the draw is made?
