Research on Policing at Football
Dear all,
Given that research is finding a more sanitised and gentrified culture of British football (see: https://www.academia.edu/18862556/Fo...rified_Culture), I am hoping you could spare a few minutes to share your views on policing at football:
https://leeds.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/policing_football
Thanks in advance.

Big difference is forces around the country. some are modern and trained. Others are the type of police officers that joined for a fight.

Didn't see any Heddlu at Hillsborough and SYP's response was well OTT at the end of the match. Maybe better/more liaison with police forces from the areas away fans are coming from would help bring them into the 20th century (not a typo).
A former colleague at work was WMP and used to tell of how they would deliberately goad fans to get them to kick off just so they could react in style, allegedly. That was about 10 years ago.
WMP seem to have improved, not had any problems with them but SYP still have a long way to go IMHO.

Cardiff plod were there don't you worry, but they have no jurisdiction.
