Will Wales be festooned with flags for the Euros?
Wouldn't it be great to see Wales covered in flags and bunting for Euros. The English go to town with flags whenever they qualify so we should do the same.
Perhaps the marketing departments at organisations such as BBC Wales, Western Mail/Echo, Principality BS, Admiral, and British Gas etc could offer free flags to customers.
Anyone on here planning to decorate their homes or cars?

I may put a Welsh flag and a :tbg: in the rear window of my car when I head down for the games in SW France.

Will Bus drivers be able to wear Welsh Football tops on the day of games?
Will Tesco employees be able to wear Welsh Football tops on the day of games?
Will Welsh football fans be able to watch games in City Centre pubs?
Many questions need to be answered by the Capital City of Wales.

You just don't see the word festooned enough nowadays.

Good questions - we could also ask whether the council will lay on a fanzone for the Euros.
However, bosses at companies will be more likely to get involved if they see houses, shops, and pubs festooned (just for you Lardy!) with Welsh colours!

I always thought the Angles (and Jutes) were more Danish than German.

They supposedly came from the area between Flensburg and Hamburg but Germany didn't exist then and modern German is not the same language, of course. Not to worry though. Twas only a throwaway line :-)

Indeed not, that opulence is only afforded to those sainted angels that follow the egg. What the hell were you thinking?

the Angles are named after the region of Angeln, which is very much in Germany today, but was once part of Denmark before the war of Schleswig-Holstein. The Jutes came from Jutland, which is very much Danish

Indeed. Life has always been a moving feast and the red lines we see on maps these days are merely a modern phenomenon :-)

Re: Will Wales be festooned with flags for the Euros?
I hope branches of Sainsburys in Wales are as well stocked with Welsh flags , t shirts etc as
their English branches are with England stuff.
Somehow I bet they won't be.
