£300 for everyone in the uk over the age of 24
It seems the guys over in Brussels have a bit more of an appetite to take on the might of big business than their counterparts in Westminster.
Alongside the recent ruling on Apple, they have also a while ago ruled that MasterCard applied unfair transaction fees for a period of 16 years.
Sainsburys brought a court case recently to claim compensation for these illegal overcharges, and MasterCard s defence was that sainsburys weren't due any compensation, as the charges would just have been passed onto the customers.
Now a second case has been launched on behalf of the people, which, if successful would result in 14bn being handed out between everyone over the age of 24.

Yes, because they are making the case that the unfair charges caused shops to increase prices across the board. So even people paying with cash will have been being affected.

This is fascinating, I was watching the disclosures about this lawsuit on RT earlier on this morning. It will be an interesting one to follow.
