I despair

I utterly despair.

Rock bottom in the championship and it would seem no way forward for the club. The investment has stopped, the asset stripping Is in full flow, the fans have walked away and continue to do so on a weekly basis.

The players clearly don't give a shit - they are all there for the pay cheque and not for the club or the supporter.

We are on a downward curve and that will only continue.

Relegation is a very real likelihood, 3,500 fans rattling around in the CCS is what will happen next season.

Where is our saviour, if he is there he needs to step forward now.

In truth the investment ended when Slade took over. I'm my opinion Slade did well even though he wasn't given the resources he needed to take the club back up. Now that be has gone an inexperienced manager is struggling. I still think you have enough quality to start well clear of relegation but I fear it will be under another manager as it isn't happening for Trollope.

One of the problems is that clubs require 'saviours' in this country.

It's dangerous to ask for a saviour; the last two have both wanted to rebrand us into their club in return for investment. TOBW makes the point that other championship clubs have been able to sell their talented youth players for big money, but our current "saviour" and chairman have between them have helped sign a high number of players on high wages, which we then couldn't shift and had to pay off, and ignore youth football almost totally. The decisions from the top have put us in a position where we apparently have an owner who is as passionate as ever, without we wouldn't exist and yet cannot spend even in the pound shop to support what is at last longer term thinking.
