Look at the impression that the article tried to create conflating an attack which killed a young Syrian swimming champion with a "sustained assault by pro-Assad forces."
What it does not make clear is that the girl was killed by rebel forces, as she lived in West Aleppo which is completely controlled by the Syrian government forces. The Independent have already been taken to task on Twitter with one person after another piling in asking, what do they think they are playing at? This is one of the ways that msm distorts and twists narratives to fit in with what the government wants the newspaper's readers to see and know about.

Did you see the news last night about the little Syrian girl tweeting, they "managed" to have a quick chat with her by webcam, how do you go about proving if something like that is genuine or not? I'm not saying it's not but there is no way of knowing.

By way of balance, the view from the other side of the coin.

I think it has always been biased. George Orwell resigned from his job there because he was fed up with broadcasting propaganda. I didn't see the news because I rarely watch television. I put the Radio 4 news on when I wake up just to increase my blood pressure enough to get out of bed. Any more than 10 minutes of it could give me a heart attack.

Probably something to do with a fluctuation in the speed of the internet. I noticed that my screen was frozen for a few seconds at the same time.

Given some of the stuff you've been posting I would guess that your computer spends most of its time running spyware unless, of course, you are posting wearing a mask in an internet cafe.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of that, seemed to be very odd behaviour. Maybe he was in shock and had a laughing fit? He recovered soon enough though, as soon as he realised he was on camera.

Anyway, I hope he makes a full recovery. It must have been a terrible, terrible thing that he witnessed.
