Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
Following on from B.Oddies "Engerland full of sh*t" thread ...
Going back just one generation - How "Welsh" are you?
1: Both parents Welsh & you were born in Wales
2: Both parents Welsh & you were born in England
3: One parent Welsh & you were born in Wales
4: One parent Welsh & you were born in England
5: Neither parent Welsh & you were born in Wales
6: Neither parent Welsh & you were born in England
Replace England with any other nation.
Definition of Welsh = born in Wales?
Welsh language not taken into consideration.
I'm #3
Will attempt to create a flow diagram for two generations.

On your passport - country of birth Germany or UK (BFPO)?

Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
#6- lived in Wales since I was 3 and I consider myself fully Welsh and British. I don't identify with England at all despite ancestry and birthplace
-
Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
I happen to identify with '1.' on that list, but I would say being 'Welsh' is as simple as wanting to be, stating that you are, and having some fairly sensible reason to back it up - if required.
I would consider that person to be as Welsh as I am.
Same criteria out to apply for any other 'nation'.

Re: Cardiff City fans 'Nationality' Poll
Heard a whisper that Pearcey's Christian name is Helmut but didn't believe the source. I do now.
Welshness is defined by what's in your calon, followed by an eagerness to watch Wales play international egg matches, sup lots of ale whilst doing so then duffing up Doris following a defeat.

^^ This
I can't agree with that 'identify' stuff I'm afraid, as much as I love Wales and have 2 Welsh children myself I still wouldn't call myself Welsh because it's simply not true. :-)
