Forest Green get planning permission.
https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry...m-near-stroud/
Just off M5 Junction 13 (Stroud).
Wooden stadium.
I'd imagine that the Forest of Dean may be a little bare in patches in the years to come.
Will be affectionately known as F.C.M5

I suspect that the health & safety brigade will have rigorous checks in place before final approval is given.
When FGR are in the champions league in 2040 they will have to keep a close check on flares being thrown.

Re: Forest Green get planning permission.
Opening game has to be against Nottingham Forest.

The same goes for loon pants and cheescloth shirts.

Re: Forest Green get planning permission.
If you're thinking of getting involved in this pun jambaroo, I wooden bother.

Re: Forest Green get planning permission.
Nice they got permission but I've heard the locals are petrified.

Re: Forest Green get planning permission.
I'd imagine it would have to be a concrete structure and plastic inside for the seating. Otherwise you'd get splinters in your arse watching a match. :hehe:
Guessing it's just a wooden exterior? But the fact they're making a big song and dance about it makes me think not...

Re: Forest Green get planning permission.
The Teletubbies will be looking for their home! Are they still burying it & covering the roof with grass?

That was done with the two Gloucester Tebay service stations just up the M5.

I once remember sitting on old wooden seats in the old Ninian grandstand.
Great match ... City 1-6 Maidstone ... if I remember correctly.
Think the Canton stand had wooden seats as well.

He'd be a good addition to the squad.

Both did. Benches in the Canton years ago I serm to remember. Very sustainable. Everton still have wooden seats. Structurally more sound when stood on unlike those plastic ones which break after a few decades of UV makes them brittle.

Occasionally a wayward shot would get stuck under the benches in the canton stand. Top entertainment.

The parking spaces will have electric charging points.

Will an electric car be mandatory?

No roof and numbers painted on the benches in a vague attempt to get people to sit in the correct place as the numbers eventually faded and peeled off. Piles of fun.
