Antibody tests within a week - USA
More positive news about the anti-body tests coming from Dr Fauci (the sensible one) in America. He claims this could be ready inside a week, he mentions other countries have been "badly burned" and I think he may be alluding to the UK there.

There isn't a lot of positive news out there at the moment, other than countries are hitting their peaks. I see that as a possible negative because I think there is a possibility that some places (USA) will try to get back to normal without contemplating the possibility of a second wave.
I appreciate some people here only want good news, but it's not a fairy story I'm afraid.
This test is going to be crucial, though. Anything that provides data is going to be essential.

IMO Dr Birx is far more plausible than Fauci, looking at your persistent grim reaper posts today revealed yourself you have!!, Fauci loves telling everyone how bad it is, although he's had to downsize his model a few times, T.B.F Dr. Birx has a bloody annoying whining voice. This is serious and a few more months to go at a guess but listening to Fauci too much, is almost as depressing as having to cope with the lock-down.

Good news, but I'll belive it when I see it.

Huh? I listen to all the scientists and don't choose to believe the ones that fit in with my opinions and theories. What is it that Fauci is getting wrong?

Re: Antibody tests within a week - USA
Another thing, changing a model as data becomes available is perfectly normal behaviour.

I love his latest idea about vaccination passports, presumably for all the mandatory vaccinations we'll be getting every year if he gets his way.

Imagine a world without vaccines. Wouldn't it be great? We could live in an eternal lockdown.

Yep, but I gave the pretty rainbow world version for the benefit of certain people.

What vaccines concern you? And why?

You go on about how open minded you are, how you are prepared to listen to all opinions and how you are a free thinker, yet I only need to see the title of a thread you contribute to and I know exactly what you have said in it.

Kids going back to school in Denmark and Finland was it after Easter I read, heads and scientists here now saying kids might aswell go back to school as the negatives out way the positives, this would be good. I also noted Drakeford saying Wales will do as it sees fit and not necessarily follow England when it comes to relaxing the lockdown, so places that do follow the rules will hopefully get back to normal quicker, which seems fair. Thank god I don’t live in London.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see this commonplace for the rest of this century.

Why start a positive thread and then immediately chuck a bucket of cold water on it !!

Why comment on that rather than coming up with a counter opinion?

It is in place for things like Yellow Fever. India has some of the more stringent rules, and it shows that these things can be treated as fluid rather than set in stone.

What bothered me about what Drakeford said was that he didn't agree with unlocking bit by bit, such as by region or by age. So if people start to be unlocked in the rest of UK and not in Wales he could have a very pissed off population/electorate on his hands.

So, do you think the lockdown should be lifted en masse? If there is a hotspot in East Anglia, does that mean the people of Merseyside should remain in complete lockdown when they are showing few cases?

No I mean that whatever the good motive, if the lockdown in Wales is maintained by the Welsh Assembly when it is relaxed in England then peoiple will not understand and will get very pissed off (Rightly or wrongly) with the Welsh assembly.
I thought that was plain in what I said but as usual you attempt to imply something that was clearly never intended in the post.
You are getting very boring!!!!

Sorry, I was making no attempt to upset you. There is, of course, a possibility that the lockdown could be lifted in areas of Wales before England. Your previous post wasn't making your view clear, that's why I asked the question.

No it wasn't. you posted what you did to be argumentative and contrary. You are boring!
