Worth a bet for top scorer if the odds are decent
Re: Timo Werner to Chelsea
If the offer from Liverpool was similar you would think he would have gone there, successful club and german manager.
I'm sure I read somewhere a little while ago he talked about his options as Liverpool or potentially he could go somewhere to help them rebuild.
May be a mixture of preferring London and not wanting too much competition for his place.
Think he would have suited how Liverpool play perfectly, such a shame that.

All of the reports I read about Werner said that Liverpool couldn't put an offer in for him because of "financial reasons". Same with Kai Havertz, apparently.
Re: Timo Werner to Chelsea
Stories are Liverpool haven't got the money or at least don't want to pay what it would cost, on paper seems like a good signing for Chelsea.
Re: Timo Werner to Chelsea
Liverpool clearly didn’t want him. He made enough noises to go there.

They seemed to want him but apparently money was an issue for them.

Yes And Klopp says "" he cannot countenance paying £49m for a player at such a time of financial disrepair.""
It seems a strange one as 49 million in these modern times isn't a fortune for a striker of note , perhaps it was more to do with guaranteed starts , Liverpool are flush with strikers certainly more than Chelsea .

Still a bit strange as it's such a decent price
Re: Timo Werner to Chelsea
I think Liverpool are happy with their front three and Origi has to be one of the best non starting forwards in football. After Bale.

I'm not sure if you're joking about Origi :sherlock:
