had to take up a couple of carpets, landing, bedrooms. Rolled back now but need fitting back. Was thinking of getting a kicker from Screwfix - only £40 and prob. what a fitter would charge if I could get one to come out. Just wondering if anyone has used one of these and how easy a job is it. Thanks.
Why would you need a kicker if the carpets were laid correctly? If you've not damaged the gripper you should be able to put back securely.Quote:

Save £40, get a piece of wood about 3 inches wide (not to thick) and put a few screws through it, leaving about three quarters of an inch going through.Quote:
