Fan Backlash (Back To The Big Ticket Issue After Super League Spat)
Now the super league spat is out of the way , lets get down to the real issues between M&S Colin the Caterpillar Cake v Aldi's Cuthbert war.
I've tried both and can really not tell the difference other than the price, let the people decide I hear you shout .

There's a cracking twitter war going on between the shopping giants, the best one with Cuthbert behind bars is priceless .
Re: Fan Backlash (Back To The Big Ticket Issue After Super League Spat)
I had neither of them - but I do fancy eating one of them now.
As well as the legal copyright aspect of it it could be clever publicity if it drives up sales of the product.

They all come under the heading of grub, of course....
Re: Fan Backlash (Back To The Big Ticket Issue After Super League Spat)
To be fair if the jury has to decide on taste it could be 50/50 .
If its based on price the jury could be swayed at Cuthbert's is much cheaper , and that is a big factor if you eat one a day as part of your 1 in 5 , that is a good saving over the year .

Being ultra-pedantic, the case centres around trade marks rather than copyright...... :hide:

I thought the case surrounds a sponge in the shape of a caterpillar.

The response I was looking for was along the lines of 'that's just the icing on the cake' 🙄

Why have I suddenly begun to imagine an ultra-pedantic being someone dressed all in black complete with balaclava pouncing on anyone's incorrectness like a mime artist armed with a baseball bat...but..vocal.

Oh I hope you don’t think it as me being rude. I’m interested in such things too! I was focusing on the use of ‘ultra’ as in Italian, extreme fans. Anyway, the image didn’t translate very well and sounded better in my head so I apologise if it came across badly 🥺😀
Re: Fan Backlash (Back To The Big Ticket Issue After Super League Spat)
The thing is, every supermarket chain has their own version of a caterpillar-shaped decorated cake. So why are M&S picking on Aldi?

No problem. In that case I'll take off my balaclava :hehe:
Re: Fan Backlash (Back To The Big Ticket Issue After Super League Spat)
The genius thing to do here would be to evolve that Caterpillar and come out with a Butterfly Cake.
