Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
I hope so. We need to be more dynamic.

We don't know if he is up to championship speed yet.

In which case he will fit perfectly into our midfield🙂

Both. Wintle, Vaulks and Ralls with Ng and Bagan as wing backs.

Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
I would think he will play form the off , to establish his credentials.
I'm sure he could show us his capabilities in the early games against Barnsley, Blackpool and the first round of the Carabao Cup .

not sure about that, it's be solid but only leaves room for 2 attacking players.

Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
I wonder if now is time to try and get a fee for Ralls. Always been a fan of his and I know he has his critics but the last couple of seasons I don't think he's moved on as hoped for me.
Try to move on Bacuna as well, I really don't see him as an attacking mid like MM seems to.

ralls is the best of the 4, but also the most likely to be able to get a fee for, if MM doesn't think he can fit into this system.
I hope he stays though.
I also think he could still be a good option at LWB. he has a good engine, a bit of quality on the ball and can tackle.

Having Vaulks and Ralls starting together still equates to too many missed passes.
I think Wintle is a step in the right direction, however, I still think we need another attacking midfielder to come in, someone who can offer a bit more going forward than Vaulks and Ralls do.

I'm going to have to disagree with you when you say Ralls "has a bit of quality on the ball and can tackle".
He's too frenetic in possession and has a habit of getting on the 'wrong side' of his opponent when trying to tackle, it's why he often gives away a free-kick.

We have a very good attacking midfielder in Lee Tomlin if he ever gets himself fit enough to play. Can't really rely on him too much but if he is available next season and up for it would transform out midfield.

Lee Tomlin? Better a manager plans his season as if Tomlin isn't even on the books - that's how unreliable he's become.

we already have too many midfielders, if we bring another one in what are we gong to do with them all?

I don't want to see Ralls play at left-wing-back ever again after his performance when we lost 5-0 to Sheffield Wednesday.

Try and off-load one or two?

That might not be easy given the wages they are all probably on.
Plus we have other areas of the pitch that need addressing.
We've lost Hoilet, wilson and Ojo from last season in terms of wingers.
Leaving us with Murphy and Whyte and possibly Colwill. So we need at least one more, possibly 2 if Whyte isn't fancied.
We only have 1 RWB and 1 LWB - unless Sang or Bacuna will continue to play at RWB and Ralls at LWB - ideally we would bring in a specialist LWB.

Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
Vaulks and Ralls/Wintle sitting deeper with Bacuna as the CAM
-
Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
Phillips
Pack Morrison Nelson
Ng Wintle Ralls Bagan
Colwill Moore Murphy
-
Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
I'm guessing the plan with attacking midfield is Colwill and someone else? The release of Jonny suggests that to me
I think left back should be our priority at this point. Up front seems fairly stacked as long as we keep Moore

I guess we could be thinking about going with a #10 and 2 central strikers - Moore and Collins
that might actually suit the mix of our squad a bit better, as we have all those strikers to get on the pitch.
Colwill behond those two would certainly be a tall front 3
we would be very reliant on the wing backs to provide width, which is fine if we can get them forward enough

Re: Wintle and Vaulks in the same line up or just one of them.
I’m suspicious that we could see all our good players being sold off as the window gets going, leaving us with the somewhat average ones we’ve been busily snapping up at boot sales.
It’d be the end of our premiership ambitions but maybe it’s inevitable in the current climate.
Nothing lasts forever, but let’s hope I’m completely wrong.

For sure we are playing a different game now - trying to get promoted without parachute payments. There will need to be changes ad we will need to get smarter, but we should till be able to compete at this level and if a couple of signings or young prospects turn good we still have a chance.

Agreed. I don’t see a starting place for Ralls and our midfield needs an overhaul with a focus on pace
