How people survive 2 weeks of this in Tenerife is beyond my comprehension

Re: Anyone getting any sleep in this weather ?
Not too bad last night, woke up at 02:40 but opened bedroom door which made a difference.
Keep windows and curtains closed all day to keep heat out, only a sheet on your bed and I even tried meditation before bed to calm my mind and my body.
Main thing, don’t get too wound up by it or it’s a vicious circle. It’s a heatwave, it won’t be here for long so try to chill (literally).

Exactly - bought a couple of portable units after the last heatwave and makes everything so much more pleasant. Was watching TV last night with a hoodie on and forgot all about the weather.

Stop fecking moaning.
Just enjoy life, instead of always finding fault.
It might be difficult after years of resisting but give it a go!!

Buy a fan. Can you get these over there? They're $20 and they block out noise. They sound loud as **** at first but you will literally get used to it the first night. I use one all winter. Attachment 4995

I use air conditioning in the summer. I use the fan in the window in autumn and then I keep it going all winter on the floor for the noise. It's hot as **** here now, 33C and crazy humid. I hope we get a thunderstorm. I have to close all the windows and doors now because there's no breeze and I have to put the AC on. To be honest, I am literally dripping. It's too hot to be outside. If you want to visit NYC, September is the month. Bright blue sky, no humidity and dazzling sunshine.

Feck Judas Priest, feck Black Sabbath (a bunch of smelly greasers fronted by the worst harmonica player on the planet) and this will really upset you, feck Chesney Hawkes too.
Up yours!
