Looks like City are chasing Cameron’s Archer from villa on loan.
Fingers crossed

that would be an excellent signing, but I thought they were going to keep him around

Not very likely. We can't afford his wages, apparently.

How are you privy to such information (that we can't afford his wages)?

Calm down, boys, it's only a messageboard.
I read it in the media. Those well-regarded newshounds at the Wails Online had this to say on the subject -
"However, it's believed the preference is to send Archer to a Championship club with the financial resources available to fund the forward's pay package, which could prove problematic to Cardiff were they to revive their interest".

nope, Preston seemed to recruit really well over the summer, and haven't conceded a goal so far this season. can't see our misfiring attack getting anything against them

Yeah. It’s a shame we’re going to have to shuffle the defence for this one. Shame about our LB problems. Wintle definitely plays better at home imo so it should be a better showing than against Bristol. I really want to see us have a go at them from the off.

Almost certainly gonna be 6-5 City now you’ve said that :hehe:
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON N.E. Match thread
It's going to end 0-0, or perhaps 1-0 to one side or the other.

Yeah, there'll definitely be some sort of result imo.

It goes to show how far we are behind most of the other Championship clubs in terms of developing a squad of decent footballers. It probably takes 2 or 3 seasons at least of prudent buying and selling - we're barely 3 months into that..

Football matches tend to generate some sort of result, yes.

Some material requires a live audience Eric!
Edit: I can see why I get into so much trouble on here. :hehe:

Crazy stats, 450 mins of football and nothing conceded and only 1 goal scored. You just know that if you stick your cash on 0-0, it'll be 5-4 or something.

I can't wait to get down there today. I just hope we give it our all.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v PRESTON N.E. Match thread
Preston are favourites with the bookies today….interesting. We have won both our home games, Preston have scored one goal in their 5 league games so far.
