I'm sure it has been reported many times that fracking in the UK is not likely to bring the cost of gas down at all.

It's not supposed to work, it's to make the people think they are doing something. All of these policies have the same end result, the collapse of the middle classes, along with the working classes, and wiping out all small & medium sized businesses.
