Agreed. Throughout our history we've seldom had players with his ability who have had his loyalty.

What a player, imagine we had a player like him now. I think he was slightly under appreciated because we had such exciting players around him during a lot of those times but wow, what a selection of goals.
I always remember thinking during the rubbish a game, this is 0-0 unless Whitts does something, and he often would. RIP

Each week watching CCTV at half time they show goals scored against the team that we are playing in years gone by.
You just know that there is going to be a pearler or two from him.
What a legend!!
