Somehow we don’t actually feature in this list, as a buying club at least, but there are three players in the list that have played for us.

Would anyone like to guess the former players or any of the others?

Two of the former players I think are quite guessable, the other one is a toughie.

Forest paid around £13 million for some Portuguese midfielder who didn’t play a great deal for them didn’t they? How about the South American midfielder Warnock paid millions for when he was Boro manager? Talking of Warnock, how on earth didn’t Gary Madine make it into the top ten?
