Re: Watters has left
What did the fans do wrong??Originally posted by WJ99mobile View PostNeither Watters, the club nor the fans can hold their head up.
Poor from all sides.
A move was best for all. Move on and forget about this one
Never heard any dissenting voices in the stadium when he played which wasn't often - frustration generally with our lack creativity but not directed at watters specifically

Re: Watters has left
Remember the early stages of last season when some fans on here were continually claiming that Watters' movement off the ball was good? Very funny. He was hopelessly out of his depth at this level. Looked like a rabbit in the headlights.
Watters started just five game in five months at Barnsley last season. Therefore, it's a surprise they've come back in for him. Getting him off the books is a triumph for City. If the club has managed to get any sort of a fee for him they've done very well.

He moved like a broom handle. Although may i be the first to say (after he has scored three in five during December) that we never played to his strengths, didn't give him a chance, he didn't get enough service, was left isolated, and not even Messi could've scored in 'that' team. Re: Watters has left
I think it's right that people wanted to give a young player trying to make a big step up every chance to prove himself at this level. I would prefer that to the opposite.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostRemember the early stages of last season when some fans on here were continually claiming that Watters' movement off the ball was good? Four goals in five games started for Barnsley is pretty decent.Originally posted by The Lone Gunman View PostRemember the early stages of last season when some fans on here were continually claiming that Watters' movement off the ball was good?
