Starmer Full On Tory Now On His Latest Mutterings

		Starmer steals another Boris slogan
From Spectator ( yes he did actually use the words in brackets below )
Most worrying for us mere mortals was his comment not to bail put bankrupt councils .
Happy Tory days live on .
I'm.voting for Sir Kier Bier Blair Boris, and Dodgy Tax Angela ( full on new Tories)
Keir Starmer has launched Labour’s local election campaign today with a promise that his party will actually ( ‘level up’, ) rather than just talking about it. It’s the second time he has stolen a slogan from Boris Johnson: in January last year, he promised a
( ‘take back control’ ) bill, and has also promised to ( make Brexit work )
. All of these claims are part of one of his grand themes: that Labour would do things better than this current lot if it was in government.

Yes the political lines are definitely blurred on both sides..
I do worry for those socalist who truly despised Blarism and all its manifestations , as this is becoming Groundhog Day .. who will they vote for ?
Lets hope Iraq doesn't kick off again before the next G.E.

There's a lot of cranks in Labour. He's probably happy to be rid of some of them.

Come on James, you know the correct expression is 'shaking off the fleas'.

Go with 'fleas' in future, not 'cranks' when you are describing people with convictions and principles.
Newspeak forty years on!

Labour must have the same promotional agency as Wilkinson Sword. The strategy for them was always....just put another blade on it. With Starmer, it's Union Flags. They're everywhere. Looks very GB News to me. Even grassroots Labour activists are embarrassed by the latest election material.
I really wouldn't be surprised if he blew it i.e. the GE. Or at least doesn't get the huge majority. Best if Labour started working with others and promised to change the voting system pronto after the election.

Well at least one of them suspended for 18 months on antisemitism accusations, so one may assume they are from that section of the Left that Starmer (and many others) would be happy to see the back of I should imagine

Many Labour members have been suspended ‘on antisemitism accusations’.
In a few cases they may even have said or done something antisemitic.
But there is a very weak correlation between the two things!

Starmer is onto a polling winner. No one in their right mind will vote Tory so appealing to the few Tories who are left should bring a fruitful bounty. I just hope he introduces some socialist policies once in power. There is a clear appetite for it, starting with water, energy and transport.

What socialist policies are you hoping for? I think a small degree of nationalisation may happen. It won't be en masse though, primarily because it doesn't solve the problems socialists think it would, so few govts would do it.

I am convinced he and his equally hopeless team will not get the landslide everyone is predicting
I don't really care if we get a Lib lab rainbow coalition with the deal being proportional representation
In fact I would be pretty happy with that
The Tories will lose lots of seats so they can be kept out of power for a lifetime if PR comes in

John Curtice the polling guru has said that there is now only a one per cent chance of the Conservatives winning the next election, With that in mind, if Labour get in with a huge majority which will owe an awful lot to first past the post, will the party, as opposed to its leader, still have the same enthusiasm to change to a PR voting system?

I don’t know why there is a surprise. Reeves and Starmer do not pay attention to MPs, voters nor Socialist think tanks. Certainly not the baboons in the trades unions. I can’t blame them for ignoring “stink tanks” - they are a bunch of academics on policy wonks that hide from real jobs. As for unions they don’t win at anything so they have nothing to peddle other than vested interests, no different to the slime that are corporate lobbyists.
For around 18 months Labour have been paying to take advice from Peter Mandelson and Tony Blair. I said this last summer. Peter Mandelson’s Global Counsel company gets paid to “advise” governments and the European Union. Tony Blair started much earlier in this business line and makes £140m a year via TBI (Tony Blair Institute). They “advise” around 50 countries. A Labour party source even said to the Financial Times a few months back that they will “install” TBI advises into the civil service and arms of a Labour government if they win.
You can’t blame Tony and Peter for being paid to advise governnments with their electoral record. They were serial electoral winning machines. Nor can you blame Starmer and Reeves for paying TBI to teach them how to win an election. The only surprise is why people still haven’t caught on to the story. £140m a year for teaching politicians. Not a bad business if you can get it!

Supporting Israel has nothing to do with “the right”.
It is to do with the Jews right to exist and not be attacked by the anti-semite morons surrounding them, and the sneaky anti-West murderous plotting by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, whose stated objectives are to “eliminate Israel from the map”.
I find it amazing that people that proclaim
to be humanists sympathise with this genocidal objective. Quite right to support Israel. The Palestinian politicians, Iran, Yemenis, and their supporters are murderous and deeply unclean.

Total bollux from the first word to the last.
 Again.
At least you kept it to under 30,000 words.
Small mercies!

Not supporting any genocidal actions, be they offensive or defensive is the humanitarian thing, surely? That's what I would like to see and hear from a political leader. I agree that it shouldn't be a right/left issue. I highlighted it because one of the criticisms of Starmer is that he has purged the Labour Party of the left. LOM's title of this thread is that he's 'full on Tory now'.
I have zero support for any warmongers, religious groups and the arms economy of any country.
Edit: religious fanatics that use ancient scripture to justify killing.
