Most efficient team in Europe, you'll never sing that.

Massive
TNS won 3-0 in the Champions League qualifiers yesterday, hopefully we'll finally see a Welsh club in one of the 3 competitions

And now Connah's Quay have won 1-0 away in Slovenia, they were 22/1 to win at kick off

Won't be too long till City are challenging in Europe again.

Pretty nice fact that.
Could we put it above the badge on our kit possibly?

Cymru premier in Europe
TNS 3-0 Decic - Champions League
Bravo 0-1 Connahs Quay - Conference League
Caernarfon Town 2-0 Crusaders - Conference League
Bala 1-2 Paide - Conference League
Is this the best 1 leg results wise the Welsh clubs have ever achieved in European football? I can't remember 3 wins out of 4 ever happening before.
If the 3 Conference League clubs make it through to the next round they get in the region of 350k, huge for them especially being all part time, a few decent crowds as well.
If TNS win their 1st round it means they are guaranteed a Conference League play off at least! They would play 2nd round of UCL, lose that then they're in the 3rd round of the Europa League then lose that it's the play off for the group stages of the Conference League, meaning they'll likely get up towards 1m.
If the Welsh clubs are ever to get stronger they need the UEFA prize money as domestic money/tv deals are so low, the FAW don't have enough money to invest anything substanial either.

Re: Cymru premier in Europe
Yep quite incredible results really.

Re: Cymru premier in Europe
Almost certainly the best set of results ever, although I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see two of them go out yet.
I can recollect two teams making it through the first rounds before, but it's very rare and three would be unprecedented.
As you say, big money now too really.

Re: Cymru premier in Europe
Great thread. Good to see some Cymru Premier news. Great results. Should be good news for CCS too as it would mean more matches played there and we get to see more European football in Cardiff!

TNS manage a 1-1 draw away, putting them into the 2nd round of the UCL and locking in that Conference League play off which is huge!
Will be massive underdogs in the 2nd round but they have managed to (just) lock in a seeded round 3 of the Europa League if they do lose in the champions league, if they win there it will put them into a Europea League group play off or a guaranteed Conference League group spot.
Most likely outcome is a conference league play off in which they would also be seeded.
Assuming they would win that play off it would put them in a group with 1st/2nd pot teams like Chelsea, Fiorentina, Anderlecht, Besiktas and Real Betis.

Re: City the most efficient team in European competitions since 1955/56
Just followed that on text on the BBC website...that's a new one for me!
Quite the result that. The (Northern) Irish league has been on the up recently too and is generally considered a higher standard.
I think it's Legia Warsaw next so I'm sure that's the end of it but a great result.
Looked like a few hundred Caernarfon fans there too.

One hell of a tie for them
Hopefully Connah's Quay & Bala can do the business tomorrow night
TNS now just 1 aggregate win away from guaranteeing a spot in the Conference League proper
