Struggle to find TV deal leaves French football clubs fearing bankruptcy

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
In the event they go out of business does that mean that VTs claims against them for financial losses go out of the window or is going out of business a way to avoid paying their debts. Possibly to be reborn as Nantes 2024

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
are assets not frozen pending the result of a court case this big?
-
Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
I don't know if this correct, but I was once told that anything won in the French courts would be paid by the insurance company covering Nantes

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
I think Nantes fans would take that….if it meant getting rid of their owner (Kita), they hate him.

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
Who owns their stadium?, we’ll take that for starters, maybe they have half decent players, we’ll take those on a free as well
-
Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
What a thread. Starts with a misleading headline. Seven posts in and Cardiff City are claiming ownership of Nantes’ stadium. CCMB at its finest right here.
-
Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
If Nantes can't fund our compensation claim , they should hand over the City of Nantes to Cardiff .. or we declare war on France .

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
By default if they can’t defend the claim then we may get awarded the whole of France as compensation
Plus every season ticket holder will get a free red beret.….

You may be right that the article does not imply that Nantes are close to bankruptcy but there is mention that they are at risk of it further down the line.
Clubs like Montpellier, Nantes, Rennes and Lens will be in big trouble because you can lose €25m for one season but not over four years. If the people have nothing to eat then there will be a revolution.”

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
They've never forgotten the 7-2 aggregate thrashing in the 70's.
I'd like to un - twin ourselves from these french Nante devils, and demand they hand back to us the Boulevard de Cardiff which they have as a named road in their little town , and swap out the Boulevard de Nantes , which folk drive fast on thinking its a French road .

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
Some touchy pedantic posters on here
As per L'Équipe, eight Ligue 1 clubs are at risk of declaring bankruptcy due to the league's lack of a domestic broadcasting deal for the upcoming seasons: Auxerre, Lens, Nantes, Reims, Montpellier, Brest, Le Havre and Angers.

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
I do like the sound of boulevard de sala as it should now be known

Re: Nantes close to bankruptcy
Looks like a rights deal has been done today, less than the previous one though I think.

Nantes fans have no beef whatsoever with Cardiff City, their fans are well aware their owner is a crook, and are hoping that Tan can get him jailed.
