Where do we go from here?
I’m at a loss having just watched that. No new manager bounce, defensively awful, 2 goals in 7 games, zero confidence, a fan base on the edge and an owner running the club into the ground with the assistance of his two yes men.
League 1 beckons but I’m not sure the rot will stop there.

I think the rot will stop there.
Ideally someone somewhere buys Tan Out.
But I think we've enough to make a decent go of it in L1.

You have more faith than me, lots of good teams and big clubs that have been down there for years. I look at the top few teams so far this season in that league and I don’t think we’d be competing with them

I think there's a big gulf. Also I think we've some good young players.

Who are the big clubs who have been down there for years?
Charlton and Bolton perhaps, if they are indeed big clubs.
Most come back stronger from what I can see

Charlton, Bolton, Pompey down there ages, Sunderland much longer than they hoped, Reading don’t look like coming back anytime soon, Bradford fell further and never recovered.
It’s a graveyard of mismanaged clubs

Where do we go from here? We appoint a decent manager who knows how to get a tune out these under performing players. I am hoping that the board can do that, of course if they don't then it is fingers crossed that the players have some pride in themselves.
If that fails then its L1.

Down down deeper and down

Yeah there are only a handful of genuinely indisputable big clubs in the UK. We aren't one of them.
Apart from that it's much of a muchness and taking it in turns.

But they are a big club and were out of the Championship for at least 10 years

I am saying that they are a big club in the lower leagues as were Sunderland, West Brom , Leeds etc when they were down there

Sludge we have to get rid of the CEO at least. He’s never at the club, neglect and zero strategic planning is finally catching up with him

Re: Where do we go from here?
Time to call Big Sam. The number one priority is to avoid relegation.
We have, at the very best, a bunch of average players who are soft, underperforming and, for some bizarre reason have become a bit "precious".
They need sorting. Come to think of it, it all needs bloody sorting.

Re: Where do we go from here?
I think this goes beyond a Big Sam figure. I think this “team” can’t be helped right now.
Is it a culmination of bad moves by senior management? Is it finally catching up to us? Do I ask a lot of questions?
I dunno. But we’re going down and I’m very sad about it. Never in my lifetime did I think City would be Wales’ third best team.

1996.
City finished 22nd in the 4th Division (old money). Only Scarborough and Torquay were below them.
Halcyon days at Ninian.

What do you class as stronger?
Most are loaded with crippling debt.
