Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
I've been thinking about the various comments on here regarding Omer Riza's appearance lately.
Some of have said he should smarten up, while others have said they don't care how he looks, as long as he gets results; fair point.
However, I'm in the "smarten up" camp, and think that he's a visual manifestation of how the club has been run, which is without any self-respect.
In the interest of fairness though, I'm glad he's stopped his pleading tone when talking about having the job as I thought he should be a man. Also, I've really enjoyed his style of football and think he deserves a crack at it properly....but would like him to look more professional.

Are you being serious?
He could wear a shell suit with socks and sandals for all I care, if his team are producing football like the last 2 games.

I'll go with that - managers to wear gear to reflect their club's ethos.

I’d like to think or hope at least that the other thread was somewhat tongue in cheek.
Nobody should give a **** how he decides to dress or what he does with his hair.
I like his sense of authenticity.
Balls to anyone who is genuinely put off by this.
Bulut looked like he had been pulled through John Anthony and was utter gash.

Absolute Tosh.
Andy Reid really looks like he shops at Saks Fifth Avenue, doesn’t he?

Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
Anyone with an atom of love for the club doesn’t want to see a tramp in the technical area. Ffs get a shave and put a suit on.

Really? You care about the quality of Riza's shave?
I have more than an atom of love for the club and I genuinely don't give a shit about his shave or his tee shirt.

This sounds like a Dear Editor letter in the Times of 1955. Yours sartorially, Fred Tailor from Tunbridge Wells
-
Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
He looks smarter than 99% of the fans. I'll accept that

Formal suit with cufflinks and a cravate. Nothing less than this will do.

Couldn’t give a **** how he dresses, he’s doing the business

Well, if it’s Tailor, not Taylor, you’d expect him to criticise dress sense:hehe:

Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
Well he’s smarter than that tw^t Scott Parker, who looks like he shops in the children’s department

Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
Given the recent turnaround in performances, and regardless of his appearance I think we all want Riza to get the job right? Or at least given an extended probation period up to January 1st?
However, Riza is going through an Apprentice style job interview and the three people making the final decision are rarely out of shirt and tie, and barring VT’s moustache are pretty much always clean shaven. For a public facing figure at Cardiff, it wouldn’t do him any harm to sharpen up and that’s the advice I would give as a friend. But we do live in a post covid world where everything seems a bit scruffy and dirty around the edges so what do I know?
Warra shithole world we live in!! :hehe:

Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
If a binman got promoted to acting Waste Minimisation and Strategy Manager for Cardiff Council (yes it is a title I googled), you'd expect him to change his attire it's common sense, although it shouldn't matter it would be expected.
However, I don't care if he keeps winning with flowing attacking football, wear whatever you want Riza

Re: Riza's Appearence (a serious debate thread)
If the biggest criticism people can currently offer up of the manager is that he needs to have a shave, then I'll take that as a good sign.

Most fans care deeply about a smart appearance as the ‘get yer haircut’ chant demonstrates

The word 'cravat' (as in neck apparel) comes to us from the Croatian word for Croatian i.e. Hrvat.
Just sayin'
