The hearing itself was to rule on what (if any) additional documents need to be disclosed to the other side in the case. Basically the only additional paperwork required by CCFC was to do with the settlement they received from their claim against the insurers , which was about £7m

Thought the club had come out and dismissed it as tabloid shite that we were asking for such a large amount? A while back as well
Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
7m euros / £5.75 from the settlement with the insurance brokers - don't think we knew that figure did we?

I don't recall this
Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
So FC Nantes' advisors said they merely, “exercised their right to fairly fight Cardiff City’s delusional requests.”
What is there delusional about City's figure of €122m? Another season in the PL would have been worth far more when you total up the PL/Sky money and match day income.

Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
I think the club has a rock-solid case. After all, they can point to all the goals scored and success enjoyed by the other strikers Neil Warnock signed for Cardiff City, such as Gary Madine, Oumar Niasse, Isaac Vassell and Robert Glatzel.
Oh, hang on a minute…

That’s unfair on Glatzel!

Bit harsh on Vassell, his goals per game record was excellent.

Cardiff City have released a strongly-worded statement to dismiss reports saying they are hitting Nantes with an £80million compensation claim due to lost revenue after Emiliano Sala's tragic passing.

The club deny its £80 because the true figure is £122m :sherlock:
Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
When I had my personal injury case the orginal amount claimed was £1m. I ended up with £150000 plus costs. It is not unusual for the claimant to inflate the claim and settle for less. Using my example the club would proberly end up with £15-20m plus costs

If it’s only eighty quid, Nantes could pay us twenty quid a week for one month.
Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
No court, insurer, whatever will ever pay damages on what might have been.
Sala might have come and started a game for us, he might have broken his leg in the first tackle...

Absolutely right.
We still should have made sure he was properly insured, but better than nothing.

:hehe: Comedy gold!
Re: City’s “delusional” 122 million Euros claim.
The cost of relegation to league 1 could be added given the clubs fixation and overwhelming focus to these legal proceedings. We should hang on a few more months in case.
