1) The two sides we have since played in the Premier League
2) The four sides we have since played in the Championship (or equivalent)
3) The three sides we have since played in League 1 (or equivalent)
1. Brighton and Hull.
2. Does that include the answers to 1? Blackpool, Plymouth, Scunthorpe and Southend.
3. Cheltenham and Chesterfield - can’t think of the other one at the moment.

I thought them, but they remained in the bottom division when we were in the tier above for 2 seasons.

Blackpool were the playoff winners that season. Again

I should have got Southend as me and Tuerto were talking about our trip there only last week (it was a Sunday lunchtime game, we won 3-0 and me and him had stayed with a friend in Brighton the night before).
The Hull away game in 2000/01 was a horror show - a 2-0 defeat thanks to two own goals and a sending off. That was a grim trip.
Re: Quick quiz - no looking
This is doing my head in, I’ll say Exeter, but it’s not them - it must be someone we played in 02/03.

Mansfield :ayatollah:
What was controversial about the away game with Mansfield that season?

Was it the pitch invasion by City fans?

No, it related to some fans, not all of them though.

I had to look that one up. If you'd have asked who the scorer of the other own goal was (not Gabbs), I wouldn't have got that in a month of Sunday's. Also, I think that season we must have set a record for own goals.
Off the top of my head, Hull (2), Exeter (home), Crewe (FA cup), Southend (away), 3 in successive games if I remember correctly. Then there was Bristol Rovers in the cup at home as well. I feel sure there were others.

Great trip, if it is the one I'm thinking of. Our midfield played at levels only just short of Barcelona that day. :-)

September 2006. City were top of the league. Goals from Purse, Scimeca and Ledley. James Collins was in the row behind us.
