Picking his words very carefully. A positive message and he’s a valuable footballing asset if he can stay fit.

He's going to help us sign 16 players? Thanks Rambo!

Is anyone allowed to suggest that giving Aaron Ramsey another contract would almost certainly be a terrible idea? Asking for a friend.

Re: The Aaron Ramsey interview: I want to be at Cardiff City next season and take us to the Premier League
I’d only give him a new contract,if he’s paid by the game.

Ramsey was invited to comment on what Riza has brought as manager - and dodged the question like a veteran.
Maybe not intentional. They appear to have a good relationship based on solely body language.
He will be Cardiff manager within 2 years. Doing his pro licence and doing his Board interview in a pre-Plymouth press conference.

I'm not knocking Riza or the team. I like Riza and think he is growing into the job - and comes across as an honest and decent person who is willing to learn and change - and has given Academy players more of a chance than most of his predecessors.
There have been some good individual and team performances - and a handful of very entertaining games. Even when it is more of a slog it is better than the stuff Bulut served up.
But we are in a relegation fight with a porous defence of players who are often out of form, out of position, inexperienced or crocked. There was also Elland Road - a different kind of suicide watch football!
If we survive in this league I am more optimistic about next season.

When did we last have 3 young players come out of the academy who all look like they will go on to a higher level ?
Not in my time watching Cardiff.
That is worth 10 league positions for me , I know that's very personal.
Even if we get relegated I hope I will still have enjoyed this season . Lots of good memories ,mixed with the occasional terrible one...

I assume Jimmy means Colwill, Ashford and Bagan. One young and two who were recently young? They might all go on to play at a higher level - a fair argument can be made. Jimmy could be right.
I was surprised by the build up Riza gave for Bagan today. Chuffed too. If Bagan is half the player Riza described we have a gem on our hands - or at the very least a stonking great transfer fee in waiting.

I like Bagan, and the fact that he can play equally as well in a couple of positions makes him more valuable to us imo, and I’m not ruling out Fish and Daland coming good just yet.
Of the three mentioned in reality it’s only Ashford who is a real Youngster and while I hope all three become first choice players in our starting 11, real youngsters who could break into the squad full time are players like Lawlor and Giles and maybe Colwill Jnr for next season
For far too long we seem to identify promising young players with potential and then either a manager is too frightened to play them or they’re shipped off out on loan and never progress.
If there not knocking around the squad by the time there 19, maybe it’s just time to let them move on?
The current U21’s looks like it has some decent prospects there, I said before the game away at Oxford we should have started with most of them after surrendering so meekly to Sheff Utd
After watching that game it wasn’t such a daft shout
I’d like to see more of them who are hungry and committed getting into the first team
That model seems to be working for Sunderland
