What do you think?

personally I think it would be a shame to lose old Trafford, even though it's in terrible disrepair.
Bit extravagant for mid table.
One of the pictures looks like a 60s drawing of the future.
It comes with the usual pompous rhetoric. "We're Man United, we should have the best stadium in the world" (to be read in a high and childish voice).
Ferguson says Man United should strive to be the best on and off the pitch. Isn't that the case for everyone? And what does he mean by off the pitch? The best quality corner flags? The best pork chops? The nicest paper towel dispensers? You can't hate them enough.

Commenting on the announcement of a decision in principle to build a new stadium, a Manchester United Supporters Trust spokesperson said:
"The announcement of plans to build a brand new stadium adjacent to Old Trafford is clearly very big news for United fans. Everyone wants the biggest and the best for our Club and the visuals look both stunning and exciting. But against the backdrop of uncertainty around next year’s ticket prices, continuing poor performance on the field, speculation around sales of key young players, and the recent financial results, the news probably does beg more questions than it gives clear answers.
"As our own and the club’s consultations have shown, the answer to whether United fans want to refurbish Old Trafford or build a new ground depends entirely on what the consequences of the decision are. So now that decision has been made, fans will need to be consulted all along the way on the key features that impact match-going fans' experience and atmosphere. Whilst investment is much-needed and welcome, fans remain anxious about what it means and what the consequences will be.
"Will it drive up ticket prices and force out local fans? Will it harm the atmosphere, which is consistently fans’ top priority in the ground? Will it add to the debt burden which has held back the club for the last two decades? Will it lead to reduced investment in the playing side at a time when it is so badly needed?
"We look forward to further consultation with supporters and discussing these vital questions with the Club. If they are able to produce a new stadium as stunning as the plans suggest without harming the atmosphere, without hiking ticket prices and without harming investment elsewhere, then this could be very exciting. But until the questions are answered, our optimism about plans to make Old Trafford the biggest and the best again will be restrained by caution about what the consequences for fans might be."
That big fish net looking contraption and the Jedi Temple towers will be the first things to be scrapped when tight fisted Jim sees the costs rising.
Seen a few Utd fans saying there was consultation about the looks carried out that’s been largely ignored. Overwhelmingly fans mentioned red brick and some sort of large roof truss system that, to be fair, does make Old Trafford iconic.
Yesterday Radcliffe was doing an interview saying that if they didn't cut jobs/free meals then the club would have run out of money by Christmas, today they're building a £2b stadium
Personally, I hope the new stadium bankrupts them and they go out of business. End of
They mention harming the atmosphere a bit much for a ground that’s renowned for not having one. For a club in decline and teetering above the relegation zone they’d be better off downsizing if they want to preserve any perceived atmosphere.
Feels a bit like putting a down payment on a mansion when you’ve just been put at risk of redundancy
Looks like McArthur Glen
Ratcliffe is looking for significant financial support from the government. Errrm
Ratcliffe’s ineos has reneged on their sponsorship of New Zealand RFU. NZRFU are taking them to court
Employees of Manchester United are facing redundancies
Starting to look like allowing him to buy in and start ‘managing’ things might not have been such a good idea
Personally I don’t think it could have happened to a nicer club
INEOS and sport is not a good combination. Almost everything they touch turns to manure (Ha!).
-INEOS Grenadiers Cycling - Manchester United FC - New Zealand Rugby - Mercedes F1 Petronas - Americas Cup Sailing.
FC Lausanne is lower mid table in the Swiss Super League.
OGC Nice went through a bad patch after INEOS came in but has now recovered and is 3rd in League 1 behind PSG and Marseilles, so is probably the only success story.
INEOS (and the Glazers) will want to keep the Manchester United cash machine running to the max - for their benefit not the fans or the citizens of Manchester.
I'm sure Andy Burnham knows that, and that Fracking Jim Ratcliffe used to be a Chelsea season ticket holder despite his performance as a True Red Manc.
