I think he realised he'd fecked up Tuesday night blaming the players. I suspect harsh words were spoken in training this morning. This was his way of placating the players.
We will see if he has succeeded on Saturday.

Hope it wasn’t to placate the players - too many of them let Riza, the coaching staff, the club, the supporters and themselves down on Tuesday.

Usually when somebody says they are too smart for you to understand what they are doing, it's just bollocks. Suspect that's the case here. Guess there's no comment on why his brilliant formation and tactics resulted in us shitting the bed at home against one of the only teams in the division who are as bad or worse than us though.

My understanding is that it’s like a diamond midfield four, except the shape is a box, so we must have played a kind of 4-2-2-1-1 and probably ended up confusing ourselves more than Luton.

We might not understand this so called “box” between Robertson, Colwill, Chambers and Ramsey, but maybe the players don’t understand it either given the results.

I tell you what’s not difficult to understand - 4wins in 24 games. On yer bike you charlatan.

Football is a simple game made complicated by pretentious idiots like Riza. Forever changing the starting the line up and formation, not to mention having to use every sub possible. How can your expect any consistency with constant changes?

our only hope is that they’re using this time wisely to have someone semi decent ready to appoint as soon as they sack him on Saturday, then get them bedded in over the break.

Sorry? Colwill lines up on the left but comes inside to play 10, alongside Robertson who's already playing 10, allowing left back O'Dowda to play left wing? WTF?

The manager can say all he likes about various members of staff and players etc.doing well but none of them are doing well because if they were we wouldn't be one point ahead of the relegation spots. I think it's time that lot took a reality check.

Pretty much how I seen if, Colwill was drifting inside and ODowda giving the width, it just didn’t work.

At one point in the first half we didn't have a box we had a line well inside our own half, with our left winger, center midfielder and number 10 passing the ball between them. Maybe we were just too smart for Luton and that's why they didn't fall for it.

I always thought football was about triangles not squares.

I may not be a tactical genius like Riza but I know one thing. His tactics failed miserably Tuesday night. Luton pack the middle of the pitch so the space for us to attack was out wide but we had no one on the left stretching the game so their defense comfortably sat in.

Our tactics were spot on and the plan worked perfectly well
However Luton didn’t understand the script, obvious really
