This is pretty wild.

The council, backed by the police…erected bollards in the middle of the night while folk were sleeping to avoid protesters in Barton Hill, Bristol.

Amazing how quickly a few bus gates and traffic calming measures (and pollution reduction as well the bastards!) becomes a key stage of corralling the world's population into concentration camps - so that Klaus Schwab and his inner circle can enjoy their slave serviced enclaves by the sea without having other ordinary people around to spoil the view.

Although that vision seems to be a better fit with Trump's plans for Gaza than Bristol Council's for Barton Hill!

It's bad form to do it at that time of the night. Community projects like this will never have full support but equally they shouldn't attract significant opposition.

The thing I don't like is the controlling through cameras, restrictions on movement times etc. It just ends up being a pile of micro stresses that lead to a slightly less pleasant environment to live in.

There's a general lack of real consultation on these things.

The WEF conspiracies are pretty dopey really. Rather than the concept of a bunch of old farts destroying the global economy and somehow benefitting from an economic wasteland thereafter we actually already have a world being dominated by oligarchs in both Russia and The West and with the Chinese State as company.

Who in their right mind would want to live in Bristol?
