Destroying Liverpool. Who'd a thunk it? Great game.

Crazy, most of them only live around the corner from Wembley.

Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
Great scenes at the end, not often you see players as openly emotional as Bruno Guimaraes, good on him he was fantastic

Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
Jimmy Scoular the last man to lift a domestic trophy for Newcastle when they won the FA Cup in 1955.
Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
The old camera angle for lifting the trophy was better. All seems a bit cramped. Maybe they should ditch the steps and do the whole malarky on the pitch.
Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
They should dedicate the win to Mike Ashley for all the great work he did for them. It's only fair.

Forgetting their Football League winners trophies pretty recently. Certainly a domestic trophy.

55 yrs without a trophy.
whilst it would be immensely funny if Liverpool manage to cock up the league from here as well, having thought they were on for a treble very recently; I dislike the cynical sports washing endeavour currently underway in Newcastle as much or more than I do Liverpool, and I hope the whole project falls down around their ears.
Saudi money was behind the recent attempt at a breakaway super league, and it will be behind the next one also when that gets resurrected.

Yes
Both to lose.
Can’t stand Newcastle after their antics over the Saudi takeover considering they’re the self proclaimed best fans in the world.

Newcastle's fans, along with Leeds fans, are the most racist in the world. ****ing shitbags.
Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
I used to quite like Newcastle people, and the city, in the 80s when I visited friends there.
Nowadays, they are just like all the other 'big' cities, with a 'big' club, with a 'big' supporter base, and a 'big' stadium, with a 'big' historic reputation, and a 'big' fat chip on their shoulders.

It also had a night club called Tuxedo Junction, IMO one of the best night clubs ive been in.
Re: Newcastle v Liverpool
Having spent a lot of time in Newcastle, it’s hard to avoid the fact that football is the biggest factor there, especially with the stadium dominating the city centre. The other ‘big’ football cities (Manchester, Liverpool, London) have so much more activities and entertainment going on that the football concentration gets diluted. Although I don’t buy into the ‘long suffering’ fans part of it. Over the last 25yrs they’ve spent 9 or 10 seasons in European football competitions, been at multiple cup finals, and even had 2 promotions. Compared to most football clubs they have been relatively spoilt.

carragher wasnt around at the end either crying in his mic:hehe:
