Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
Derby will pass us, we need to beat Oxford and do better than them, they have Sheffield United, QPR, Sheff Wed, Leeds Cardiff, Sunderland, and then Swansea in the last game of the season :oh:
We have QPR, Preston, Stoke, Sheffield United, Oxford, West Brom, Norwich. The next three games will decide I think.
Stoke have Preston, Luton, Cardiff, Wednesday, Leeds, Sheff United, Derby
Derby has Preston, Swansea, Burnley, Portsmouth, Luton, West Brom, Hull, Stoke
Hull play, Watford, Coventry, Swansea, Preston, Derby, Portsmouth
It looks like Preston could decide who goes down they play almost all of us, what do you think of all teams fixtures?

I think Oxford could well end up in the last relegation place but I think we’ll end up 23rd. We are comfortably better than Plymouth so we’ll finish above them. I did think Stoke might go down but that was a good result for them yesterday and they should have enough to beat us down here also. Oxford could well be our only win left this season, but they will also fancy their chances against us.

Yet another thing Riza will put the blame on.

It’s negative comments about the City which makes me despair. We should stay behind the side until all is lost, which isn’t quite yet. The City have so many detractors on this Board who appear to wallow in our many failures. We wouldn’t be in relegation trouble with the players we have if the men that run our club knew anything about football- simple. Get them out and run the business properly - then we may not need so many depressing threads on this board.
Please stay behind the team and write about how you all think we will avoid relegation!!

Looking at Oxford's fixtures they could well be down by then. Anyway I think it's us, Plymouth and Oxford - Luton will escape..

Re: Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
There are seven games to go. Eight in Derby's case. Nobody has been relegated yet. The difference between 18th and 23rd is just four points.
To be talking at this stage of 'the last place in the relegation zone' is idiotic. But also par for the course.

If you despair of 'negative comments' when the team is fourth from bottom, the club is owned by Vincent Tan and the side is managed by Omer Riza, perhaps supporting Cardiff City isn't for you.

Re: Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
Yes, maybe. But how do I stop following the team I have supported since 1963. Not an easy thing to do when they have been such an important part of my life since childhood.

You don’t stop following them. You do as you say, and get right behind them.
For what it’s worth, I think we will go down this yr, but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world.
One thing that’s for sure, is that after 46 games, the table never lies. The standard in the championship is slowly getting worse imo, so the fact that we are in the position we are, tells you all you need to know about how badly our club is run from top to bottom.

Find new things to do, it’s never too late….

You don't. This is a message board, it wouldn't exist without the negativity. Yesterday was an enjoyable game and far better than walking round Tesco with the wife or sitting on your a*se in front of the TV..

And there we have it! it's not just us negative nellies that have been watching sub par footie for half a dozen seasons. Turns out its " the men that run our! club" Who would have thought.

Posts like this always puzzle me.
We are all right behind the team otherwise we wouldn’t be wasting our time on here posting about the team that we all support.
Most of us are quick to praise the team when something good happens (not too often of late sadly) and equally quick to criticise.
To somehow stick your head in the sand and make out that everything is great and completely ignore the facts staring everyone in the face is just a bizarre way to live!

Re: Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
there are 7 clubs in the mix for relegation, and a further 3 who are only 5 points ahead of us.
we aren't playing that badly at the moment and we have a run of winnable games coming up.
it's all to play for really - I just hope the players aren't as defeatist as some on here.
-
Re: Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
Sadly, no I don’t agree, I very much hope that I’m wrong but I think it will be City & Oxford. We need 3 wins & we only have 3 home games left.

No. Derby, Stoke and Hull are also in the mix.

In the 16 away league games we've had under Riza, we've won 2.
That's quite an alarming statistic, though it's no worse over the same period than Luton or Derby and better than West Brom. In terms of points since Riza took over, our away form is ranked 16th (at home we're 15th). Only 7 sides have scored more goals away from home than us since the end of September, though only 3 have conceded more. We've drawn 8 of those 16 away games (West Brom have drawn 10 of theirs). Of those 8 draws, we've thrown away the lead in 5 of them, came from behind in 2 and had one 0-0. We also won at Sheff Utd and Stoke in the cup.
Our away results and form have been a real curate's egg. Arguably we've deserved better than we've got, but the defensive frailties that have undermined our season have been a huge problem. 4 away games to go, 3 are winnable.

I had underestimated them. They have a chance, but Stoke and Derby are away. I still think they will go down with Plymouth. Then it's us Oxford, Stoke, with Derby still possible, depending on how the six-pointers go for teams around us.
Leeds home
Stoke away
Blackburn home
Derby away
Bristol Home
Coventry home
WBA away

You’re right, after that Worldie against us (that fella will never score another one like that), to get the jammiest og like that, you know their luck is in

Re: Cardiff or Oxford for the last place in the relegation zone, would you agree?
I didn't mind Luton winning at Hull.
I remember how I felt after they beat us at home I'm sure Hull are now fearing the worst.
