At least Trollope had a solid coaching background before he became City's manager for a brief spell - and he'd also had five years in the manager's seat at Bristol Rovers. He's gone on to be assistant manager at Brighton, Forest and Luton. I'll be surprised if Riza does anything similar in future.
It really is so sad seeing him in a situation that really is beyond him. It was a job that anyone with an ounce of knowledge about football would not have given him at this stage of his career. The pressure of managing such a high profile club in the Championship was far too big a jump from his last management role. That that jump was Cardiff City, with all its hierarchical problems, was beyond sensible.Quote:

If he thinks fans expectations of playing well enough to stay up are unrealistic, he's totally and utterly lost the plot. By all accounts a team in the top half of the league in wage bill, transfer spend and agent fees, if the various sources are to be believed.
