90 second clip here.
"Fascinating press conference with Cardiff City manager Omer Riza this afternoon. Insists he'd be happy to lose his job if the hierarchy felt someone else could come in and save Cardiff. Says the club is divided. Four games left to climb out of the relegation zone.
@ITVWales"
Oh and he says he does read all the comments from fans but unfortunately a lot of them are clueless.
Hi Omer!

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
He looks a broken man and like he's resigned himself to the drop.
A painful watch.

Yeah not a comfortable watch at all.
To call the fans clueless is an interesting road to go down considering his record though!

Or he is begging to be sacked?
I can't work it out? Why come out with that at this stage?

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
His head's shot.
It seems like he can't see any positive outcome from our remaining games and he is almost begging for someone to come in.
If ever there was a man simply not ready for a relegation scrap, there's one right there.

Yesh I think we all thought we were coming bottom anyway but watching his body language and these comments I don't think we'll get anymore points now. That seems to be what he thinks also

I accept the players have to take responsibility etc etc but I do feel for them a bit being managed by him when you watch things like this. With his changing teams and tactics game by game.
He seems the type he probably thinks his players are clueless also and if only they just listened to his genius methods.......

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
Is he being held as a hostage by the club?
The poor bugger looks and sounds scrambled.
-
Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
If he comes over like that in training and during games, it's no wonder we're struggling. He hasn't got the most positive of demeanors.

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
The players must take the piss out of this guy, he's inspires absolutely no confidence.

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
Those comments about the fans being clueless will become a big issue. It's picking up a lot of social media traction across the UK press.
He will have to do a statement backtracking tomorrow or be sacked.

Tan won't care. In fact, he probably agrees.
If Riza had said Tan was clueless he'd be in bigger trouble.

Yeah you are probably right about tan.
Just seems like the type of comments could get some real interest across the UK and a lot of attention on him.

Reminds me of Trollope in some ways - probably better as a coach but not a manager and a leader. Trollope overthought things and so has Riza.

I know what you're getting at, but there's nothing on Riza's CV to suggest he's even a decent coach at senior level.
At least Trollope had a solid coaching background before he became City's manager for a brief spell - and he'd also had five years in the manager's seat at Bristol Rovers. He's gone on to be assistant manager at Brighton, Forest and Luton. I'll be surprised if Riza does anything similar in future.

A painful watch.
It really is so sad seeing him in a situation that really is beyond him. It was a job that anyone with an ounce of knowledge about football would not have given him at this stage of his career. The pressure of managing such a high profile club in the Championship was far too big a jump from his last management role. That that jump was Cardiff City, with all its hierarchical problems, was beyond sensible.

Re: Riza press conference today- the club is divided.
So what’s Riza actually referring to when he talks of the club being divided?

I think he said expectations levels of the fans are unrealistic.
So it's not united between players coaches and fans as fans have too high expectations was what I thought he was trying to say.

This is very much like the final days of Nathan Jones at Southampton.

If he thinks fans expectations of playing well enough to stay up are unrealistic, he's totally and utterly lost the plot. By all accounts a team in the top half of the league in wage bill, transfer spend and agent fees, if the various sources are to be believed. Utter bellend as well as being a parks league level manager.

Agreed. It'll be interesting to see where he ends up next season.
