Highest points total to finish bottom?
We know Rotherham went down with 54 points in 2013.
The highest we can get is 49 and most seem to think that's not going to be enough.
However us and Plymouth could end the season joint bottom on 49.
Surely no team has ever got 50 points and finished bottom?
Re: Highest points total to finish bottom?
I think you mean Peterborough.
Re: Highest points total to finish bottom?
if we finish bottom but still manage to hit 50 points, for me that's a successful season
Re: Highest points total to finish bottom?
Theoretically, Preston, Oxford, Hull, Derby, Luton, Cardiff and Plymouth could all finish on 49 points.
That would be quite something.
:hehe:

I'd snap your hands off for 50 points, given we can only get 49

I like this. 7 teams joint bottom.
Finishing joint bottom but still staying up would be superb.

Hull were bottom on 45 in 2019-20, Luton on 45 in 1995-96 and Port Vale on 45 in 1992-92 which are the highest points totals I can see since the second tier became 46 games in 1988-89.
