Start planning for League One
Teams confirmed:
Us
Bolton
Blackpool
Huddersfield
Lincoln
Barnsley
Exeter
Rotherham
Stevenage
Wigan
Peterborough
Northampton
Mansfield
Doncaster
Port Vale
Almost certainly Plymouth
(And almost certainly not Bristol Rovers)
Plus we have to play in the Vertu Trophy, against Premier League academy teams, and enter the FA Cup in the first round.

Crickey Bristol Rovers have been relegated. Who is our Derby against next season?! Exeter I guess?

One positive, nobody can blame Reindorf. Fair play to the kid.

Re: Start planning for League One
The Vertu trophy looks like a group stage at first and decided by region, so we'll get Newport and Bristol Rovers but also an U21 team from the Prem.

Port Vale isn't too far away.

Almost certainly Burton too.
I'm actually embarrassed to be frank

Re: Start planning for League One
The hilarious point for me is, both teams that get relegated with with us, are better than us! There automatic promotion out the window, even without taking into account the teams whom are around the promotion placein Division 1 now. We will fall like a stone, next season will be about survival. So many on here have over hyped this team, to a point which is incredulous, taken into we are bottom. Unless we spend Birmingham numbers be prepared for a long era in the lower leagues. But to be fair the 18 years in the lower divisions we have previously were great fun!

Re: Start planning for League One
Unless the rules change this summer we'll have a smaller squad and less subs as it's 22 and 7 this season.

I bet they're gutted, first time in years they'd have a league derby and they've gone down!

Re: Start planning for League One
We've seen small crowds before, but a midweek game against Bournemouth U21s my God it will be glum

Re: Start planning for League One
I’ve reconciled myself to what has happened with Cardiff City.
Maybe TOBW’s book on 1975/76 inspires me more than the club itself, but I’m now looking forward to several away games.
I carry merely hope, not expectation.
