Waiting to see if it’s AFC Wimbledon or Salford City.

Are you looking forward to playing them Dennis?
Along with Northampton and Stevenage? I’m not.

Fair point, like everyone else I see Stoke, Preston and Millwall on our fixtures every june and can barely contain my excitement.

Not really bothered Bob, i gave up on this lot time ago. I can't see anything changing though, unless Tan feels ashamed enough (it's a cultural thing apparently) and pumps a stack of money in to get us back up the leagues. Basically, who knows..

This. Whether we like it or not we’ll have a lot of “cup finals” as the big fish next season.

On the plus side there's loads of interest from my mates for Blackpool away.
I just hope it's not a Tuesday night.🤣
Anyway back to the misery of the 80s and 90s.🤣

Over the last 15 years Tan has proved that there is more to it than spending lots of money.

You'd have to pay me to get me to watch Stevenage, Port Vale or most of the nosebleeds in League One.

I don't understand this attitude, we deserve to be there, as do they.

I have high standards. Not saying we don't deserve it from a footballing sense, because that would be to deny reality, but in terms where we should be, I absolutely feel I have the right to be snooty and want more.
There are towns in the Vale of Glamorgan the size of Port Vale.

Whether you acknowledge it or not, we’re there to be shot at. Recent Premier League team, garnering lots of publicity, biggest / modern stadium in the division, Welsh. Every team will be wanting our scalp and to take us down. Birmingham is a perfect example.

I'm looking forward to chanting "Oh scabby, scabby, scabby, scabby, scabby..." just for old times sake.
I'm sure the good folk of Mansfield have missed the little ditty?

Yes, now that Nottingham Forest have gone on to better things. Mansfield is a rough old town though. Didn't we play them in the FA cup in recent memory and the locals turned up in force?

Not sure about the cup game but I had the pleasure of meeting the locals mid 90s after a City win I think.
The locals can be a tad hostile to outsiders.

Not that he spent enough when the opportunities arise, and basically went for the Happy Shopper options whenever he could.

He didn't spend money on decent players in the Premiership but he has wasted a lot paying off managers and on wages/paying up contracts for players who aren't good enough.

I’d take a season like Birmingham’s tbf.
I don’t think people will really care that much about us will they? There’s plenty of other clubs in the league with a similar background. Wigan, Huddersfield, Reading, Bolton have all had stints in the Premier League in the last ~15 years. Some may not be as recent as us but stayed for several years. Wigan were FA Cup winners in 2013. It’ll be 8 seasons ago we were in the Premier League when we kick off in August. Recentish, but not that recent.
We may have the biggest stadium but there’s still going to be 7 other teams with 25k or bigger grounds.
Wrexham and Birmingham were the big scalps this season and they’ve coped alright.

Yeah and they'll be coming to a two thirds empty silent stadium. I can't see anyone being bothered. Teams like Exeter will probably bring 4k or so but they'll be shocked how little anyone in cardiff will care and how quiet it is.

Plus looking at the league about half of the league we will have played fairly recently in the Championship so not sure why playing them will feel so wrong?
Reading Wigan Huddersfield Rotherham Blackpool Charlton Bolton Barnsley- as it stands Plymouth and hull.
Even the sides coming up from league 2 like Bradford and Doncaster we've all seen us play in the Championship.
A few of those played a lot more premier league football than us also.
I just can't be as annoyed as others are as it's just where we currently belong just hope we aren't out of our depth there also!
