You’ve said some shocking things about Ebou Adams on here and now he’s made you look a bit of an idiot.
Have a look at Adams’ career.

Started out in non league, earned himself a move to Norwich and played a bit of league football while out on loan. However, he didn’t do well enough to earn himself a second contract with Norwich and, so, at 22, he was back in non league football with Ebbsfleet. So, he was first considered to be not good enough for the EFL, earned himself a chance though only to be rejected by the full time game for a second time. Adams then gets another chance with Forest Green and does well enough to get signed by Forest Green where his form in League 2 persuades us to sign him on a three year contract.
Adams was very popular with Forest Green fans and, clearly, is at Derby as well. I remember talk about him being a good influence in the dressing room in his early days at City with his bubbly, upbeat nature, but he then suffered a freak injury in the opening minutes of his first pre season game with us and so his first campaign here turns out to be a virtual write off. In fact, his time at Cardiff ended virtually before it begun because he was never rated by Erol Bulut it seems and I’m surprised he made as many as eleven league appearances for us before we let him go.
It’s clear that Adams had had a lot of setbacks in his career and itÂ’s taken him until heÂ’s nearly thirty to become an established Championship player. That says to me that while he may not be the best ability wise, mentally he’s spot on.
TLG posts that Ciaron Brown is a late developer after having to work his way up through non league football and it wasn’t until he was 22 that he made his EFL debut with us.
Again, you suspect that Brown has to be strong mentally to make it a position where he is now regarded as a good Championship performer in his late 20s.
Now, maybe I’m wide of the mark here, but I’ve spent nearly all of this season thinking that mentally this is one of the weakest City sides I’ve ever seen and, although I accept you’re always likely to hear things like this when a team is unsuccessful, there are stories beginning to emerge of a pretty toxic dressing room.
It seems to me that, although there was a tendency to look down our noses at players like Adams and Brown while they were here, they’re both exactly the kind of players we needed more of this season - too many heads dropped too quickly with us all season and it seems pretty obvious that Adams and Brown have been complete opposites of that for Derby and Oxford.
