I'm no expert on drug smuggling through airports, seems a bit negligent to just fill a suitcase of the stuff. Isn't there usually a bit more skill to it?

When they opened the case i'd have loved him to just say "it's for medicinal use".

Shouldn't we be taxing cannabis anyway instead of sending the poor guy to prison for it.

he must be looking at a fair few years for that

he had 6 - 7 years playing for championship clubs, was well paid at Bristol City by all accounts, whats he done with the money ? ?

There's no way a bloke who was at League One with Bristol City, and in the Champ with Ipswich at that time and QPR earned enough money to retire on. He is also clearly a moron if he's put 600k worth of weed in a suitcase, so there's that too.

rumour has it in Bristol he was the highest paid player and on a very good wedge ( he was outstanding in the 1st season for them by all accounts )

while he wouldnt have earned enough money to retire from 5 years as a championship player ( and 2 years as a well paid L 1 player ) he would have earned in that time a pretty decent amount, enough to not have filled 2 suitcases with 60kg of weed and paid 2 girls to bring It into the country, I wonder what class they flew, as normally you get 23kg in economy, maybe he treated them to 1st class
