Looking at that map, it would seem Northampton Town are conveniently located.

Lot of clubs close together on that League One map, but I wouldn't class many of them as derbies.
Few rivalries in South Yorkshire by way of proximity, and I believe Bolton/Wigan has become a bit of a derby in recent years. There's also an argument for Bradford/Huddersfield (although if you have to argue it then it's not a proper derby IMO).
But I think the only "recognised" derby would be Exeter/Plymouth?

My partner is from Coventry and some of her relatives have been Sky Blues since the Jimmy Hill days. They mostly say Leicester is their biggest derby (the M69 Derby), but even then it seems to be fairly low key to me.Quote:

The distances used are in kilometres (not miles as in my original post) and represent the actual travelling distance rather than 'as the crow flies'.
Just checked AA route planner for Cardiff City Sadium to the Liberty Stadium. Distance = 42.8 miles (or 69 km) ... this is the same distance quoted on the site below.

Pompey is 278 km (172 miles) from Plymouth
Pompey is 257 km (160 miles) from Cardiff
