Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
Alegedly, Bales aren't the frontrunners according to the ITK, South African group, and the Dalman group.
Not sure how much is true, guesswork, fantasy?

Re: Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
I think there could be multiple bids, based on the relegation, his age, and his struggles with appointing the right people, I think Tan might be getting closer to selling. It looks like an opportunity for some, so I wouldn't be that surprised if there were more parties interrested.
The only problem we have is that he might try and bounce back and increase the value rather than hand it over now.
It could explain the lack of players coming in and the release of some big wages to balance the books a little. It's not good to be in limbo hopefully something happens either way quickly.

Heard the same from my source this morning NCB.
100% straight from the horses mouth, will get an update later from mate when he finishes work.

Re: Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
Someone is leaking info somewhere. Who knows what games are at play. When it comes to this sort of stuff the people posting on forums are usually tipped off to start with. How that develops and is exectuted is another matter but at the core someone is putting info out there in the first place.
Seems several people have been told that there is three bidders, Bale's group not thought to be the preferred choice with Tan possibly even being ready to / has made a deal with a group as yet unknown. I heard similar last night and was told it was in strictest confidence, but minutes later it's online almost as fact.
As NCB speculates this could be why there are no new signings yet as there are boardroom issues to solve first. You see how messy it can get at other clubs. When it looks like sales of the club is going ahead the outgoing owners don't want to pay for things anymore and the incoming party won't pay as it's not their business yet.
All speculation and rumour until something more concrete is reported.

They don't even put horses down the mines any more. I don't trust this.

I'd settle for a season of 'treading water' if the club is under new ownership. I don't doubt there are 3 interested parties but what makes Cardiff City such an attractive proposition all of a sudden ? Discounted value due to relegation perhaps, or does the allure of a capital city etc. have positive benefits for prospective buyers ?

Possible answer 1. Discounted value due to relegation
Possible answer 2. Discounted value due to relegation
Possible answer 3. Discounted value due to relegation

I think it's both, and the Wrexham programme has raised the profile for Welsh clubs and lower league teams like Birmingham. Id say we look like a good prospect now for a rags-to-riches story for a wealthy potential owner, and being the Welsh Capital makes us even more of a quality project.

So we're a sleeping giant again? That takes me back.

Re: Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
IF there are three (or more) bidders, can we trust Tan to pick the best one for us? Or will he go with the Russell Slade consortium?

Re: Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
The silence is deafening all of a sudden.
The media dept / commercial are popping videos out and selling stuff but the boardroom, transfers dept and now the press seem to have shut up shop.
Nothing for ages from Dalman or Borley and I don't recall Glen Williams or Paul Abbandonato having anything other than the usual footy stuff that we ourselves post. No scoops anymore.
Ken Choo is more preoccupied with any other business and nothing but the odd statement from Tan himself when we appointed BB-M.
It's taken Gareth Bale to make a comment to bring the matter into fans discussion about likely takeovers and now leaks from unknown parties to people who they know are going to put it online.
So is there a masterplan or has everyone given up?

It’s just a guess, but if any of this is true, he may well go with what’s best for him, not what’s best for us. I would if it was me.

That would be understandable, but he has spoken about refusing bids in the past cos they weren't right for the club and wanting to leave it in good hands. Could be just noise but let's hope his nose for reputable business people is better than our managerial appointments.

I was more concerned about Bale bringing in some deluded golf nut from the USA - one with a yellow toupee and a Make Alnwick Great Again cap!

Re: Tan now talking to three groups apparantly
All I hope is whoever gets it learns from Tans mistakes and puts football people in charge of football matters.
