GBP 27 for a L1 game with the away view from behind the goal in shallowish away end. Total piss take.
What are the prices for the home fans located on the side, I wonder.

I think we have forgotten how reasonable our prices are and it isn’t much cheaper in L1 and L2.

I wonder why use older people get a discount at 62. Most English clubs it's 65 and at City it's 60. 62 seems to be an odd number to choose.

Suspect most people don't make 65 in Burslem.

Gotta be looking at £30. The last couple of years has seen a few clubs (not ours, although we should beat in mind we are paying essentially the same for a lower league) really start to seem expensive.
I saw Coventrys yesterday. Bang average game for a family of four - best part of £120. Coventry v Birmingham (hardly el classico), comes in at £170. For 90 minutes of tier two football.

Even a shitty club like Rotherham in the third tier. buy a ticket on the day and you can't get in for less than £30.

I'm driving up a couple of days early and taking in the Accrington Stanley v Oldham game on the Tuesday. Just £10 for coffin dodgers.

£27 and on a Thursday evening as well, lovely.
Do clubs do reciprocal pricing in League 1 like in the Championship?

Is there a drinking hole with character in the vicinity?

I don’t think so. They’ve made the Burslem pubs home only. I’ve been in the Bulls Head many moons ago, which is close to the ground but no idea what it’s like nowadays.
Are you driving up?

Yes indeed. I decided to amke a few days of it. Seeing a friend in Harrogate on Monday, meeting another friend in Thirsk on Tuesday and then on to Accrington, walking in The Peak District on Wednesday and heading to Burslem for the game on Thursday.

I got the train to Longport to watch a game there as a neutral with a mate a few years ago. It is rough, I think the away pub was The Vine Inn, which was right outside the ground next to the Police Station but that might have changed now.
The walk from Longport to the ground was an eye opener for sure.
