Personally not a fan of this at all. That said, it's hard not to see how La Liga itself like it and it helps them steal a march on the premier League, serie A, bundesliga etc

La Liga has always been quick to throw away their integrity for money. Since 2020 the Spanish Supercup has been held in Saudi Arabia and will be played there until 2029. And to format has been expanded from 2 teams/1 game to 4 teams/3 games.
Absolutely. It also has typically had much less equitable TV deals. They change fixtures there very late in the day and is a major reason there is a lack of away fans and often a poor atmosphere at games. It has a lot of glamour but from a "fans rights" perspective it is behind the premier League, as imperfect as that isQuote:

Big Spanish speaking support ( the ones that haven’t been deported yet) in a lot of the southern states. Really good marketing play imo.
The crowd in LA especially has a very definite sense of South American influence in the way they get behind their team
