Another rebrand for cardiffs cymru premier league club

Lake united to AFC Cardiff then merged with sully to become inter cardiff then named inter cabletel then back to inter cardiff then merged with uwic to be uwic inter cardiff then cardiff metropolitan university FC and now finally Cardiff Met FC.

I think it was inter cabletel when they played at ninian park? And v celtic in a european game?

Theyve dropped any links to the students or the university in the name though to try and grow support. We shall see. They will be up their for the european places again im sure.

Wonder if any fans have remained loyal since the lake united days?

Played against Lake United a couple of times when they were in the South Wales Amateur League.

Sensible idea, although they have been known as Cardiff Met for sometime, perhaps informally.

I do think theres demand for a second club in the city, but I don't think Cardiff Met are it. Would be great to see the Dracs or Caerau Ely or whatever get into the Welsh Premier. I could see them being quite popular and a bit of a cheaper/cult alternative to watching CCFC without being in direct competition

Inter Cardiff always sounded good….be a feisty derby I think
