Credit where credit is due last night?
I thought he looked a safe pair of hands. The goal is always a bonus.
I'm still not sure he's a CB, and his running down the centre of the pitch last night at ease reinforced my opinion.

In fairness, you'd expect someone who was playing a Premier League game for Aston Villa against Liverpool as recently as May 2024 would look reasonably accomplished in a cup match against the side who are currently rock bottom of League Two with zero points to their name.
Thought he did well last night and isn't as poor as often portrayed, it's a completely different game in League 1 compared to what he was used to in the Prem I'm sure.
I still wouldn't be shocked if he left over next week or so. Especially if he's not going to be playing.
Even last night I felt he wasn’t comfortable at the back, apart from the penalty incident, he was sleeping at the back just after that and played a Cheltenham striker onside which could easily have been a goal given away, for such an experienced player he doesn’t seem to give off the vibes of a leader defensively, which is something our young defence needs.
