Re: Injuries for Saturday
With King also injured all of a sudden we are looking quite light in centre midfield. Good therefore that Mafico got some good experience on Tuesday.
Re: Injuries for Saturday
Trott has been great so far but Turner is looking a very solid number 2 so I wouldn't be overly concerned if we let Trott rest up for a few weeks
Re: Injuries for Saturday
Just saw the weather forecast for Saturday - not good. Heavy rain, apparently.
On the whole, the team has been moving the ball around really well so far this season during what have been pretty much the ideal conditions for a possession-based style of football. It'll be interesting to see how the players cope if the weather is crap.
Re: Injuries for Saturday
I would rest Trott now even if he’s got a chance to make it.

That's a good point, I think they will be ok, but as you say, we haven't seen them in rough conditions and it does tend to be a leveler and suit the aggressive, direct Warnock type teams.

At least bad weather like that doesn't have the same effect it used to. Hopefully, we'll still be able to move the ball round quickly. Maybe we'll get Osho in tomorrow and he can start on Saturday. He's been playing for Auxerre so he should be ready to go.
Re: Injuries for Saturday
3 midfield absences. I suppose we'll be seeing Mafico on the bench then
Interesting that Robinson seemed to play the 10 role on Tuesday, wonder if he's considered Colwill's deputy there? I don't think Robertson's ever looked particularly comfortable in that role
By my count we have the following senior midfielders fit for Saturday, feels pretty light: R.Colwill, J.Colwill, Wintle, Mafico. Will we see yet another new name on the bench perhaps?

Ah yeah, though with Daland seemingly on the way out and no news on Osho I'd imagine he's predominantly down as centre back cover

He can cover both position's and NG can also cover centre half.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Osho has been training with us, similar to Trott when we signed him. Hopefully we’ll hear something very soon :-)

16 year-old Rob Tankiewicz has been training with the first team the last few days
maybe a spot on the subs bench this weekend ?
