Will Fish (an appreciation thread)
If he was out of the academy, I think we’d be raving about him.
He does his job exceptionally well. A bit of an unsung hero. He’s calm, collected, makes good decisions, carries well, and gets in the way.
I like his style!
Solid performance every game.
Re: Will Fish (an appreciation thread)
All of that, plus he hits a great diagonal cross field ball too!
Re: Will Fish (an appreciation thread)
They all deserve cred...i can't say anyone was not up to it...even after the subs
Re: Will Fish (an appreciation thread)
Had a very good game today, underrated.

I agree. He has been so solid this season - literally one loose pass against Peterborough aside. And to think those 2 clowns simply refused to pick him last season despite us being completely on our backside.

He and Lawlor have formed a really solid partnership
Great performance again today

I've been very impressed with Will Fish, he's grown into the team each game. There's nothing spectacular, just good honest defending and, as bluesp says, 'great diagonal cross field passes'.
Re: Will Fish (an appreciation thread)
Agree, I think he’s been excellent, especially after last seasons defensive shambles where his confidence could have taken a hit.
He’s solid in the air and he accompanies Lawlor.
As has been mentioned, he does hit those long diagonal balls with accuracy.
The question is, will he keep his place with Osho signing?
Can the new lad play left back?
A good problem to have of course.

Does make you wonder how many players have our managers wasted/ misused over the last few years

Fish world have struggled under those two managers the way they played football. Thankfully we finally have a manager.

It's amazing how much difference a decent coach and a new goal keeper make, not just to Fish, but the whole team.

That was him? For Davies' goal? I was just admiring that.

I thought it was Wintle? Not sure though.

It was Wintle.
We had three players today with a goal and an assist. That probably hasn't happened in a while

How about Osho playing defensive midfield, has he ever played that role?
It just gives more opportunity to introduce him in the second half of games, to give players a rest, or if they're injured.
