Best since Dave Jones

Ok he didn't get us promoted but the entertainment was first class .
Personally I thought Malkys teams and Warnock's were generally shite to watch . I could watch these youngsters all day long .

Warnocks promotion team particularly early on were entertaining. The destruction of Villa home in particular.

Yeah - I enjoyed watching the likes of Mendez-Laing and Hoilett on their good days. Just weren't consistent enough.

Yes, I said the same thing yesterday & their “our” youngsters, so there’s an affinity for and pride in them.

Spot on never went home from a game under Dave Jones not knowing you watched a proper game of football. The atmosphere Saturday suggest we are back to the same

So many have rose-tinted glasses when it comes to Dave Jones, plenty of awful games and winless runs under his tenure.

I was a huge DJ fan, loved the football. But equally the frustration when teams flooded the midfield and we struggled and the reason we didn’t go up.

I’m sure BBM will come up against problems as teams look at ways to stop us, it’s how he reacts .

My only complaint about DJ was that he never took any responsibility for himself when things went wrong. And the fact that he never showed any passion. I remember thinking back then - if only we had a manager as passionate as Warnock.

I personally really enjoyed Malky and Warnock's promotion seasons. Equally some of the football we played under Jones was fantastic but it was very much feast or famine with them.
